Job Summary

Drive loan and deposit growth by serving as the primary banking partner for USPF sales teams by converting premium finance relationships into commercial lending opportunities. Originate and structure sophisticated credit solutions-including mergers and acquisitions, ownership transitions, and working capital financing-tailored specifically to insurance agencies and brokerages. Build strong, trusted relationships with agency principals by providing strategic guidance on valuation methodologies and long-term growth planning. Partner closely with Portfolio Management and Underwriting teams to structure transactions that meet client objectives while adhering to the bank's credit and risk standards. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sets business development strategy for USPF customers; identifies opportunities and makes sales calls to existing clients and prospects.
  • Maintains the quality, profitability, and growth of business and consumer products through appropriate pricing and fees.
  • Applies need-based sales techniques to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships by identifying products and services to enhance the customer relationship with the bank.
  • Maintains and services a portfolio of $ deposits with emphasis on acquisition of low-cost deposits meeting bank objectives.
  • Maintains and services a portfolio of loans which meet margin and revenue objectives.
  • Thoroughly collects and analyzes customer and prospect financials and other relevant data to assess viability, determine actual cash flow, and perform ongoing credit grade determinations within policy guidelines.
  • Applies a high level of business acumen and credit risk management expertise to identify and structure large, complex loan and deposit opportunities.
  • Prepares and articulates accurate, comprehensive, and relevant information to the Loan Committee for loan approval.
  • Oversee ongoing quality control for a portfolio by executing proper documentation, compliance, and collection efforts.
  • Responsible for achievement of market objectives as set by Bank leadership.
  • Use Customer Relationship Management systems to track sales efforts and prospects.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Represents the Bank in business development efforts and at networking and community functions.
  • Develop partnerships and collaborate with other lines of business to attain mutual goals and better serve customers.
  • Practices ethical sales behaviors in accordance with Ameris' core values of Integrity and Honesty; always acts in the best interest of the customer when offering additional products and services.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of cash flow-based lending and insurance agency business models.
  • Proven success in a collaborative, partnership-driven sales environment, managing both internal stakeholders and external client relationships.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced financial analysis capabilities, particularly in evaluating intangible assets.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong execution focus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to meet with USPF sales teams and agency clients across the United States.


Industry and Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending and/or insurance-related finance.
  • 5-7 years of product knowledge, sales processes, and vendor interaction required.
  • 5-7 years of B2B sales experience required.


Academic
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred.
