Description

Overview

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the America Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations of the Americas business and preparing accurate and timely management accounts. The role oversees key financial processes, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Group policies and relevant accounting standards while identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the finance function. #INDUS

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts in accordance with Group policies, procedures, and reporting deadlines.
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, company card transactions, and payroll.
  • Prepare and post accurate month-end journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis.
  • Ensure appropriate revenue and expense recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and reconcile sales tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant federal and state tax requirements.
  • Monitor cash balances and prepare regular cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure all finance and accounting activities comply with US GAAP, Group policies, and all applicable federal and state legislation.
  • Coordinate year-end financial close activities and support external audit requirements by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, streamline processes, and enhance the efficiency of finance operations.
  • Provide financial analysis and operational support to the Global Head of Sales & Strategic Projects, in addition to regular reporting to the Group Finance Director.
  • Liaise with the third-party payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities as required.
  • Undertake other ad hoc finance and business support duties as required.
  • Travel internationally for training and domestically as required by the business.
