In this US-focused role based in Wilmington, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Market Access and Medical Affairs leaders, turning evolving regulations and policies into practical, business-ready guardrails that enable smart risk-taking and sustained growth.

You will shape how the organisation engages with healthcare professionals, patient support programs, digital channels, and field teams-embedding controls into everyday processes so the business can move fast while doing the right thing. Your work will help protect patient trust and accelerate responsible access across Respiratory & Immunology, Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic, and Vaccines and Immunotherapy.

How would you build a risk-based monitoring strategy that not only detects issues early but also drives learning and improvement across teams? Accountabilities:
  • Strategic Risk Advisory: Provide clear, actionable compliance advice that aligns with business goals; translate policy and law into simple, scalable controls integrated into systems and processes.
  • First-Line Enablement: Empower Market Access and Medical Affairs teams to own day-to-day compliance and risk decisions; enable smart, agile choices in a fast-moving environment.
  • Market Access and Medical Partnership: Serve as the dedicated compliance partner to US-based customer-facing teams; collaborate closely with business unit compliance counterparts.
  • Emerging Strategy Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and handle risks tied to new commercial and medical strategies; ensure robust mitigation plans and effective implementation.
  • Monitoring and Insights: Design and execute a risk-based monitoring plan for commercial and medical activities; analyze trends and partner with team members on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Second-Line Collaboration: Partner with Oncology and Rare Disease compliance, Global Assurance, Global Compliance Investigations, and the Ethics & Privacy Enablement & Innovation Center to implement monitoring, investigations, training, awareness, and risk management that strengthen the global compliance program.
  • Access Services Collaboration: Work with Access Services on reimbursement support strategy projects, programs, and risk evaluations.
  • Culture of Integrity: Champion "Doing the Right Thing," reinforcing ethics and integrity through guidance, training, and visible leadership.
  • Program Improvement: Provide timely input to the corporate compliance program and drive consistent execution across the business.
  • Simplification and Digital: Lead simplification and efficiency across units; be an early adopter and advocate for digital tools and ways of working.
  • Executive Influence: Engage independently with leaders and management teams to advise, share insights, and constructively challenge decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Additional Contributions: Perform other responsibilities as needed to advance the compliance framework and business priorities.
