Prime Healthcare is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Urologist to join the medical staff at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to build a comprehensive urology practice within a well-established community hospital that serves a diverse and growing patient population in Northern New Jersey.

 

The selected physician will provide high-quality urologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working collaboratively within Prime Healthcare’s mission-driven, patient-centered environment.

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

 

  • Prior experience in a hospital-based or community urology practice
  • Interest in growing and developing urology services within the hospital
  • Subspecialty interests welcomed but not required

Compensation is commensurate with experience and training.

  Responsibilities

 

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of urologic conditions, including:
    • Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
    • Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
    • Urinary tract disorders
    • Urologic malignancies
    • Male reproductive and sexual health conditions
  •  
  • Perform urologic procedures and surgeries consistent with training, experience, and granted privileges
  • Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care
  • Participate in shared call coverage per department policy
  • Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine, oncology, and ancillary services
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Adhere to Prime Healthcare policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and patient safety programs
Qualifications

 

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology Residency
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology (American Board of Urology)
  • Eligibility for New Jersey medical licensure
  • Eligibility for DEA registration and hospital credentialing
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine, ethical practice, and patient-centered care

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
