OverviewPrime Healthcare is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Urologist to join the medical staff at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to build a comprehensive urology practice within a well-established community hospital that serves a diverse and growing patient population in Northern New Jersey.
The selected physician will provide high-quality urologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working collaboratively within Prime Healthcare’s mission-driven, patient-centered environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital-based or community urology practice
- Interest in growing and developing urology services within the hospital
- Subspecialty interests welcomed but not required

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of urologic conditions, including:
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
- Urinary tract disorders
- Urologic malignancies
- Male reproductive and sexual health conditions

- Perform urologic procedures and surgeries consistent with training, experience, and granted privileges
- Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care
- Participate in shared call coverage per department policy
- Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine, oncology, and ancillary services
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record
- Adhere to Prime Healthcare policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and patient safety programs
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology Residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology (American Board of Urology)
- Eligibility for New Jersey medical licensure
- Eligibility for DEA registration and hospital credentialing
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine, ethical practice, and patient-centered care

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $425,000 to $475,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
