Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Unit Manager (RN) to join our team at Aviata at Palma Sola Bay, a premier healthcare provider in Bradenton, Florida. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing unit, providing exceptional care to our residents, and leading a team of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the staffing needs and provide supervision for nursing staff providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit.
  • Assist in staff development and coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Conduct and document a complete data collection of each resident's medical status upon admission and throughout the resident's course of treatment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident.
  • Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants, and monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and work with families and other staff to resolve grievances.

Requirements:
  • Current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN or LPN.
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility. Minimum 1 year experience in nursing administration.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts.
