Full Job Description
Are you an experienced engineer ready to apply your expertise to some of the nation's most complex and consequential intelligence challenges? Join Leidos' Analysis Solutions Business Area, where your work will directly shape maritime threat understanding, strengthen national defense, and influence real-world operational outcomes. In this mission-driven role, you'll collaborate with top technical and intelligence professionals, tackle sophisticated multi-domain systems, and see your contributions impact countermeasure development and Navy decision-making. If you're motivated by solving hard problems with strategic importance, this is where your skills can make a lasting difference.

Leidos' Analysis Solutions Business Area is seeking experienced engineers who are eager to contribute to some of the nation's most important maritime intelligence challenges. In this role, you'll help characterize undersea naval and multi-domain threats-from subsystem-level analysis to integrated combat-system assessments-and support the creation of high-value maritime finished intelligence (FINTEL) products for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

Your work will directly advance several mission-critical objectives:
• Producing objective, tradecraft-compliant FINTEL (ICD 203)
• Delivering defensible, sourceable intelligence (ICD 206)
• Enabling maximum utility for countermeasure developers
• Helping close the sensor-to-shooter loop and strengthen U.S. maritime advantage

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy complex systems analysis, thrive in mission-driven environments, and want their technical expertise to directly influence national security outcomes.

What You'll Do

C4ISR Architecture Analysis
Characterize threat C4ISR architecture from the component level upward. Your assessments will cover node hierarchy, decision timelines, battle-management logic, sensor integration, data-fusion requirements, communications/datalink features, and EP integration under jamming or EA conditions. You'll also generate subsystem-level engineering building blocks that feed broader system-of-systems analysis.

Sensor-to-Vulnerability Integration
Translate raw intelligence into operationally actionable insights, closing the loop between sensor performance and architectural vulnerabilities. Your work will highlight decision points, timing constraints, and structural weaknesses that inform EW, EP, and hard-kill countermeasure development.

Network Topology & Connectivity
Evaluate physical and logical network architecture, connectivity pathways, bandwidth and latency constraints, and redundancy/failover design.

Full Sensor-to-Shooter Characterization
Analyze adversary processes from initial target detection through track reporting, fire-control solution development, weapon-launch authorization, guidance support, and battle-damage assessment.

Cross-Platform Coordination
Assess how threats coordinate across sensors and platforms, including data-exchange formats, cueing protocols, and cooperative-engagement logic.

Targeting Data Quality
Examine track accuracy and latency requirements at every handoff point, and evaluate how jamming or countermeasures degrade engagement performance.

Networked System Vulnerability Research
Conduct functional decomposition, develop attack trees, construct threat scenarios, and perform rigorous assessments to identify system and network vulnerabilities.

Required Skills, Education, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, and 8+ years of relevant experience or master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in signal processing and/or systems engineering
  • Experience working with SIGINT, OSINT, and other all-source intelligence
  • Active TS clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Priority consideration for candidates with an in-scope and active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience with Grapevine
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence
