Full Job Description
Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Ultrasound Technologist (FGP)- OB/GYN (MFM).

Responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations and procedures in specialty area under general supervision utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data. Operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images; performs studies in required modalities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Interacts with patients by identifying self to patient and verifies the identity of the patient by checking the patients ID bracelet or verbal acknowledgement by patient. Technician explains the procedure and equipment to the patient clearly and provides patient privacy at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Administers ultrasound procedures by operating computerized equipment and recording devices. Utilizes patient chart in obtaining pertinent history as necessary.
  • Alerts the appropriate medical staff of abnormalities that require immediate attention. Compares present echocardiograms to previous studies to monitor changes in present status. Carries out assignments within a realistic time frame.
  • Uses advanced judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses, or if additional imaging procedures are needed.
  • Usage of highly technical equipment to produce scans and conduct procedures.
  • Write reports based upon completion of the scan. Documents the scans according to the departmental procedures. Enters, maintains, and records all pertinent patient data. Must use good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses.


Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Registered as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OBGYN. Nuchal translucency certification (NTQR/FMF) required within 3 months of hire. Completion of an approved ultrasound technology educational program. College graduate is preferred..

Required Licenses: Nuchal Translucency Cert, Am Rgtry Diagn Med Sonographer

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of MFM experience
