Job Description Summary:
The Human Centered Design Engineers 1 and UI/UX Professionals are responsible for collecting, prioritizing, and documenting user needs/requirements, driving UI/UX design in support of software solution development that meets user needs, and evaluating user experience and human performance both qualitatively and quantitatively. The engineer advocates for users when creating, evaluating, and modifying application prototypes to provide an efficient, effective and positive experience.
Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
• Evaluates user experience and human performance to develop prototypes with guidance.
• Creates, evaluates, and modifies application prototypes to provide an efficient, effective and positive user experience.
• Adapt appropriately within agile work environment
• Identify challenges and risks associated wit assigned tasks and communicate them to project leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
• Curiosity-driven approach to solving complex, customer-driven problems as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members, program leadership, and non-technical personnel
• Team player able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to balance multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Advocate for users
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, User Experience and Design, Computer Science, or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Requires 0-3 years experience in Human Centered Design Engineering or related.
Additional Job Description:
Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Secret Clearance is preferred.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$62,500.00 - $140,000.00

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
