We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to help shape how people experience agentic AI across terminal, web, and app surfaces. You'll contribute to product design for Hermes Agent and Nous Portal, exploring what AI agent interfaces can look and feel like, while also supporting art direction across the company.
Responsibilities:- Designing product experiences for Hermes Agent and Nous Portal across terminal, web, and mobile
- Developing UI/UX patterns for customer-facing agentic workflows, including tool use, multi-step reasoning, long-running tasks, and human-in-the-loop moments
- Contributing across the full design surface from information architecture and interaction design to high-fidelity visual execution
- Partnering with engineering to ship polished, performant interfaces and prototyping ideas in code or interactive tools
- Supporting art direction and brand expression across product, marketing, and community surfaces
Qualifications:- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience with a portfolio of shipped consumer or developer products
- Strong craft in interaction design, visual design, typography, and motion
- Demonstrated ability to push boundaries of web and app design rather than defaulting to standard patterns or templates
- Fluency in modern design tooling (Figma, prototyping tools) and comfort working closely with engineers
- Good product instincts and the ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear design directions
Preferred:- Experience designing for AI products, agents, developer tools, or CLI/terminal interfaces
- Background designing across multiple surfaces (web app, mobile, CLI, browser extension)
- Prototyping ability in HTML/CSS/JS or React
- Experience contributing to brand systems, art direction, or creative direction alongside product design
- Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and developer communities
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where the design problem itself is often undefined
