Job Summary
The UI/UX Designer 4 will support the Cat Rentals team with a primary focus on the customer-facing "Rent" experience within the application. The role is primarily focused on UI and visual design, with approximately 60-70% of the work dedicated to UI/visual design and 30-40% to UX design. The ideal candidate will have strong experience creating visually compelling and intuitive digital experiences, particularly for e-commerce and web-based applications, with some mobile experience. The designer will collaborate with product, engineering, and other cross-functional partners to understand customer needs, solve design challenges, and deliver high-quality, customer-focused digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and enhance the customer-facing Cat Rentals "Rent" experience.
• Create visually compelling and intuitive web-based user interfaces.
• Apply visual design, UI, interaction design, and UX principles to digital experiences.
• Focus approximately 60-70% of the role on UI/visual design and the remainder on UX activities.
• Translate customer and business requirements into effective digital experiences.
• Develop and maintain high-fidelity designs and prototypes in Figma.
• Collaborate with product owners, product partners, engineers, and other UX professionals.
• Participate in design discussions, reviews, and workshops.
• Apply critical thinking to identify design problems and develop practical solutions.
• Seek input from subject-matter experts and leverage team expertise when needed.
• Work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the broader product team.
• Consider both web and mobile experiences when designing solutions.
• Contribute to a consistent and cohesive customer experience across the application.
• Incorporate customer-focused design thinking throughout the product development process.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of UI/UX Design experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Strong hands-on experience with Figma.
• Strong UI/Visual Design background.
• Experience designing web-based digital experiences.
• Strong understanding of UX and user-centered design principles.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of design activities, and operate as a self-starter.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to effectively partner with product and engineering teams.
• Ability to explain design decisions and incorporate feedback.
• Strong e-commerce experience, particularly with web-based e-commerce applications.
• Experience with customer-facing digital products and transactional experiences.
• Experience designing complex web applications.
• Strong visual/UI design portfolio demonstrating polished, modern interfaces.
• Mandatory UX/UI portfolio link demonstrating design thinking, customer-focused design, visual/UI design quality, complex problem-solving, individual project contributions, and UX/UI process and decision-making.
• Candidates should clearly identify their individual role and contributions within portfolio projects.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with mobile UX/UI design.
• Experience working in Agile and product development environments.
• Experience with Figma Make.
• Experience with AHA.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
