Role Overview- TheUI/UX Designer 4 will be an individual contributor at a high senior level,focusing on features, strategy, and working at both epic and featurelevels.
- Theprimary focus will be on the VisionLink mobile app, including experienceswith Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and tablet experiences.
- Therole also requires translating web experiences into native mobileexperiences.
Portfolio Expectations- Lookingfor complex mobile app experiences, complex workflows, and redesigns(before and after examples).
- Portfoliosshould demonstrate solutions for smaller complex problems, such as datatable translation from web to mobile/tablet, clever map implementations,and data visualization.
- Theability to tell a story about redesigning complex components or datavisualizations for mobile is important.
Interview Process- Selectedcandidates will then move on to an hour to an hour and a half technicaldesign review with three senior team members.
Top 3 Skills- ExpertFigma skills are required.
- Thelast two major projects should be primarily mobile-focused with an updatedskill set.
- Excellentcommunication with a positive attitude is essential.
Experience and Location- Willconsider candidates with more than 8 years of experience, including thosewith 18-20 years of experience.
- Experienceshould not include time spent in schooling.
- Previouslysubmitted candidates that have been seen multiple times should not beresubmitted.
- Relocationcandidates are accepted, but the company will not cover relocation costs.
- Candidatesmust be within an hour or 50 miles of a digital hub in Chicago,Bloomfield, or Peoria.
Job Description:Be part of an exciting and innovative project, collaborating with a highly skilled design, product, and engineering team within Client Digital.
Work on a premium product competing in industries such as Electric Power, Heavy & Civil Construction, Resources, and Energy Management.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize UX design methodologies and tools including wireframes,prototypes, personas, user research, journey maps, and experience flows tobring digital solutions from concept to market in partnership withstakeholders and cross-functional teams. (70%)
- Serve as the voice of the customer, advocating for user needs whilebalancing business objectives and technical constraints. (15%)
- Contribute to feature design, user research planning, and productdefinition to drive successful project outcomes and ensure high-qualitydesign deliverables aligned with organizational standards. (15%)
Team & Collaboration- Work closely with engineering and product teams to deliverexceptional user experiences.
- Collaborate with a UX team consisting of 8 designers and 3researchers.
- Partner with an additional team of 5 UX professionals based inIndia.
- Engage with UX practitioners across the broader organization oncross-application and platform convergence initiatives.
Work EnvironmentRequired Qualifications- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional UX experience.
- Equivalent qualifications include:
- 12+ years of UX experience, OR
- UX certification (e.g., HFI, General Assembly, or similar) with 8+years of UX experience.
- Portfolio link is mandatoryand must be included with the application.
Required Technical Skills- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including Figma Make.
- Strong knowledge of the latest Figma capabilities and bestpractices.
- Experience creating low-, mid-, and high-fidelity designs.
- Advanced prototyping skills.
- Information architecture (IA) flows and user experience flowdiagram creation.
- Native mobile application and responsive design experience.
Required Soft Skills- Experience or domain knowledge in equipment management or relatedindustries such as airlines, mapping applications, Oil & Gas, FinTech,or similar sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications / Top Candidate Profile- Experience designing enterprise-level applications.
- Strong UX generalist background rather than a narrowspecialization.
- Extensive mobile design experience with a passion for mobiletechnologies.
- Collaborative team player who actively contributes ideas andparticipates in discussions.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent Figma file organization, designsystem practices, and technical expertise.
