U-Metal Assistant Facility ManagerPosition Overview:The Assistant U-Metal Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that U-Metal development operations are conducted safely and in full compliance with all defined procedural, regulatory, and quality requirements. This position is responsible for managing the operating resource required to meet the U-Metal production tasks assigned within budget costs that optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials are achieved while meeting production objectives.
Location:On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.
Your Day to Day as a U-Metal Assistant Facility Manager:- Direct the parts of facility operation assigned in a manner that will assure and enhance personnel safety, ALARA exposure, regulatory compliance, quality compliance, and procedural compliance.
- Direct the parts of facility operation assigned so that high product quality and maximum production throughput is achieved with minimum manpower and material usages to achieve production goals within budgeted costs.
- Direct compliant facility safety related equipment (SRE) and items relied on for safety (IROFS) testing, operation, and maintenance compliant with approved procedures for the areas assigned.
- Direct areas of facility operations assigned that special nuclear material (SNM) inventory constraints are met.
- Develop and implement actions to correct deficiencies and findings in areas assigned.
- Direct employee training to maintain a qualified workforce and to enhance safety, regulatory, quality, and operating performance in areas assigned.
- Assist in mentoring supervisors to develop and enhance skills including performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Act as the BP Facilities manager when requested.
Required Qualifications:B. A. or B. S. degree -- Science or Engineering preferred OR 8 years of operations supervisory/management experience in a nuclear or chemical/technical production facility.
With a B. S. degree, six - eight years of supervisory/management experience in a technical production environment, nuclear facility or military facility. Without a B. S. Degree, over 14 years of supervisory/management experience in a technical production environment, nuclear facility or military facility.

Pay: $114,000 - $180,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $114,000 and $180,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
