Full Job Description
Position Summary

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives across our trading organization. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business, requiring someone who excels in ambiguous problem spaces and can navigate the full spectrum from strategic vision to detailed execution.

You will be the through-line connecting engineering efforts to business outcomes-guiding work from initial idea through release while keeping all parties aligned along the way. You'll balance big-picture strategic thinking with in-the-weeds analysis and delivery, taking time to deeply learn problems before jumping to solutions across corporate, research, trading, and engineering domains.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives spanning front office, back office, and technology teams, shepherding large, multi-team technical programs from early scoping through production rollout
  • Lead project portfolios, drive prioritization decisions, and maintain a clear view of portfolio health, surfacing risks and blockers before they become critical
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and dependencies across workstreams, applying thorough project management practices while remaining adaptable to evolving requirements
  • Assess current state processes, articulate future state workflows, and see opportunities to reimagine workflows and implement automation that scales
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable requirements, document strategies across diverse audiences, and oversee testing efforts to ensure solutions meet defined acceptance criteria
  • Build and maintain relationships with engineering, trading, operations, and corporate functions, serving as a bidirectional translator who drives meetings, develops consensus, and aligns collaborators with competing priorities

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; 1-10 years of experience preferred in Technical Program Management, including a track record of running organization-spanning technical programs from kick-off through completion and driving initiatives from ambiguous problem statements to measurable outcomes
  • BS or equivalent work experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
  • Fluency in how software gets built and shipped-comfortable discussing development workflows, continuous integration practices, and delivery pipelines, with an understanding of engineering velocity and quality indicators, the ability to engage with engineering teams on system design and implementation tradeoffs, and comfort reading technical documentation and understanding data flows
  • Deep understanding of broker-dealer trading operations, including familiarity with order entry lifecycle, trade execution, and settlement processes, with experience spanning market-facing roles (trading, sales) and post-trade functions (operations, compliance, finance), and experience supporting or delivering technology solutions in a trading environment
  • Ability to earn trust and shape decisions with senior collaborators, with strong written and verbal communication skills, intellectual curiosity, a bias toward understanding root causes, and a willingness to get into the nitty-gritty details across corporate, modeling, trading, and engineering domains
  • Nice to have: experience at a proprietary trading firm, market maker, or broker-dealer; familiarity with regulatory requirements affecting securities trading; and a background in quantitative finance or financial technology

You will enjoy the following benefits:
  • Core Benefits: Fully paid medical and dental insurance premiums for employees and dependents, competitive 401k match, employer-paid life & disability insurance
  • Perks: Onsite gyms with laundry service, wellness activities, casual dress, snacks, game rooms
  • Learning: Tuition reimbursement, conference and training sponsorship
  • Time Off: Generous vacation and unlimited sick days, competitive paid caregiver leaves
  • Hybrid Work Policy: Flexible in-office days with budget for home office setup

The base pay for this role will be between $125,000 and $200,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
