The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
The Triparty Allocation Associate/AVP is responsible for managing and optimizing the allocation of collateral in triparty repo shells. This role ensures that collateral is accurately and efficiently allocated, monitored, and reported in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of the triparty collateral allocation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Triparty Allocation and Management:
- Monitor and actively process the daily matching and allocation process on BONY Tri-party platforms (BONY Domestic Accessedge & Global Accessedge).
- Ability to communicate issues and escalations succinctly and accurately to front office business partners, counterparties, and vendors.
- A firm understanding of the cash management process and using eCPO tool on AccessEdge when optimizing tri-party allocations.
- Execute daily allocation of collateral in triparty agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms, including hard-to-allocate equities and corporate bonds.
- Monitor triparty allocation levels and optimize allocations to meet margin requirements and mitigate risk.
- Reconcile allocated triparty positions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in processing Tri-party loans and allocation uploads in the Broadridge Impact (ICI) system.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze reports on collateral allocation, usage, and sufficiency.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement in collateral allocation processes.
- Provide front office with morning collateral reporting for start of the trading day.
- Ability to learn and navigate systems specific to MUFG only.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to triparty allocations.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with collateral allocation.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and procedural explanations.
• Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement and test system enhancements.
- Maintain operating procedures and task controls for triparty allocation processing tasks.
• Client and Counterparty Interaction:
- Liaise with clients, counterparties, and custodians to resolve issues related to triparty allocations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively to ensure all parties are informed about triparty allocation statuses and requirements.
Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of experience in triparty allocations with a broker-dealer.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Proficiency BONY Accessedge, BONY BDC, and intermediate to advanced MS Excel is required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under high pressure and multi-task

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $91K - $121K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
