  • Guarantee completeness and accuracy of cash data for financial reporting
  • Oversee documentation of essential SOX controls
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors
  • Maintain documented procedures for core team functions
  • Approve internal fundings and external payments
  • Engage in company-wide projects aimed at process improvements and automation initiatives

Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) will support a wide range of Treasury functions for the insurance business. The successful AVP must manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment for multiple legal entities while supporting initiatives to enhance the existing functions to meet the rapidly changing needs of the business.
  • Lead and develop a team dedicated to ensuring accuracy of cash data across 2,000+ bank accounts
  • Ensure cash data is complete and accurate for Financial reporting
  • Oversee the completion and documentation of key SOX controls
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors
  • Maintain documented procedures for the team's core functions
  • Approve internal fundings and external payments to third parties
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives/projects to improve processes and infrastructure including workflow automation, liquidity reporting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare and present materials to Senior Management


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree required with a minimum of 7 years work experience in a Treasury or Operations Role
  • Knowledge of treasury systems (i.e. Kyriba or other banking platforms) is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Visio
  • Proactively addresses issues that may impact outcome of initiatives
  • Prior experience implementing financial controls in compliance with SOX a strong plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve key issues
  • Positive attitude even when faced with difficult obstacles, issues or challenges

This is the expected annual base salary range for this Boston-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range

$120,000-$160,000 USD
