Position Overview:
Reporting to the AVP, Treasury Services, the Treasury Deposit Analytics Manager is responsible for leading product analysis, identifying key trends in client deposit behaviors and supporting key decision making in enhancements to deposit pricing. Furthermore, the incumbent will assist in the creation of pricing strategies, while taking into account client needs, industry trends, the competitor landscape, and the company's capital/liquidity constraints.
Responsibilities:
• Generates insights and analysis on client deposit balance trends and behaviours
• Presentation of results and data insights using industry leading data visualization and presentation tools
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance and Business Development and Relationship Manager to identify data sources and understand client investment behaviors in order to recommend best products to senior leadership team for approval
• Partner with BNY Mellon Data Scientists to better forecast our client deposit balance trending up to the next 12 months
• Apply advanced analytics, machine learning and AI data analytics techniques to develop data relationships on deposit performance and forecasting
• Develop KPI's and identify potential re-pricing opportunities
• Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets which assist the organization make informed decisions
• Prepare reports on deposits, compensation product and Net Interest Income trends by client and overall level using historical data elements on a regular basis
• Forecast deposit balances at client and portfolio level
• Create ad-hoc reporting as required for Senior Leadership or the Board in order to make concise decisions
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate business or mathematics degree; CFA or MBA designation an asset
• 5+ years of progressive working experience preferably in treasury and/or financial services
• 3+ years of working experience in advanced data analytics
• Knowledge of capital markets, institutional investors and deposit products an asset
• Expert knowledge and experience with data analytic tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SaS, Tableau and other tools
• Excellent business acumen with ability to drive business insights through data driven analysis
• Data management knowledge
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
