Full Job Description
We adding are a talented Commissioning engineer who will travel to client sites throughout the US with the first project being on site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

This role joins a team of industry leading on-site commissioning/QA/QC electrical systems testing engineers. This world class team performs 'hands-on' testing and provide technical oversight of electrical equipment and associated normal and standby power distribution systems. Oversight includes but is not limited to, electrical system(s) upgrades in existing facilities and new power systems testing (new construction) for fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S. Projects include data centers, trading floors, broadcast facilities, high rise infrastructure and high-end offices. Scope typically includes UPS, Generator, power generation / distribution and controls systems. It also includes predictive preventative maintenance program planning and execution, and systemic and component troubleshooting throughout the commissioning process.

What we are looking for in a candidate:
  • Mid-level commissioning engineer (7+ years of experience)
  • BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar qualification-required)
  • Military background in electrical system's operation and repair a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel across the U.S. for extended periods of time required to support project construction schedules and work various hours (days, night and weekends)
  • Thermography Scanning Certification a plus
  • Must have proficient technical writing skills (proposals, test scripts and reports)
  • EIT/PE/CPMP a plus
  • SKM Power System Software experience a plus (i.e. Short Circuit Studies)
  • Hardworking and well-motivated engineer with the desire to learn and solve problems
  • Ability to work in office and client sites (new construction and existing facilities)
  • Hold driver's license
  • Background check & drug screening may be required by client for onsite projects

What this opportunity entails:
  • Perform commissioning and/or QA/QC hands on testing of electrical equipment.
  • Manage Commissioning and Testing Projects (client, internal team and project financials)
  • Lead projects and write proposals, test scripts and reports
  • Mentor and train other Commissioning team members
  • Coordinate invoicing with Accounting Department
  • Attend conferences and networking events periodically
  • National travel needed as necessary to complete Commissioning & Testing activities at client sites with reimbursement of expenses for travel/ lodging/car rental/meals.
