Travel Reviewer Specialist (Business Analysis, Associate) to support a Federal Government client in Washington, DC. Travel Reviewer Specialist will provide on-site support for the travel management system, focusing on systems analysis and database management. Responsibilities include assisting users with travel issues, ensuring compliance with DoS policies, and reconciling financial documents.
The Travel Reviewer Specialist will monitor system performance, address data entry problems, and collaborate with budget staff and the Global Financial Service Center to manage vendor issues. This role will also oversee the rollout of new travel systems, develop training materials, and review travel authorizations and vouchers for compliance.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide on-site travel program support, systems analysis, and database management support
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues, including those arising from the help desk, on-site support, software enhancements, software interfaces, as well as new accounting, reporting, and legislative requirements, or requirements from DoS
- Analyze, reconcile, evaluate and coordinate a variety of financial related processes, data, policy, reports, financial documents or statements
- Determine the accuracy and compliance with policy and recommend appropriate course of action to ensure compliance with appropriate laws
- Monitor the performance of the travel management system (E2 Solutions, others as required) and other domestic financial system interfaces
- Perform analysis to identify systems and data entry problems or issues and the proposed solutions to reduce the error rate
- Coordinate with OBO/ RM/FM budget staff and the Global Financial Service Center staff located in Charleston, SC, to reconcile rejected documents, vendor management, and other interface-related issues
- Serve as the bureau's subject matter expert for the travel management system
- Manage the roll-out of new systems related to travel support/authorization/claims, including but not limited to data management/clean-up, business process development, customer training/education/support and related implementation activities
- Review bureau travel authorizations for compliance with relevant policies/regulations and system requirements
- Track actions taken on authorization requests, and reporting data related to requests.
- Review bureau travel vouchers for compliance with relevant policies/ regulations and system requirements
- Develop training classes and materials as required for the above-mentioned systems and their integration with Bureau and DoS policy/regulations pertaining to travel and be responsible for all elements of the training process

For this position, the projected compensation range is $100,000 - $110,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
