Department Overview:• This unit provides high acuity cardiac care for pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments.
• Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety and teamwork is a standard of the staff
• Nurses handle 4 patients on this unit based on acuity level
Education- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
Experience- Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
