Department Overview:
• This unit provides high acuity cardiac care for pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments.
• Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety and teamwork is a standard of the staff
• Nurses handle 4 patients on this unit based on acuity level

Education
  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required


Certification/Licensure
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale


Experience
  • Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
