Full Job Description
Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront, coastal, transportation, and infrastructure projects and is recognized as a leader in these fields. We are actively looking for a Transportation Planner - Senior Level to join our Orlando office. As part of the Transportation practice, this role will develop and lead transportation (planning and environmental) teams to pursue, innovate, and deliver related projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively with current design, planning and environmental staff to build internally and recruit externally transportation planning and environmental teams to provide the full range of transportation planning and transportation environmental services needed by Moffatt & Nichol clients
  • Business development and project management, production and presentation
  • Coordinates and collaborates with clients, stakeholders, appropriate engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, and vendors
  • Program/project manager for traffic engineering/operations, NEPA and environmental documentation, Transportation Planning contracts
  • Manages input from external partners assigned during the document preparation and management of external consultants
  • Monitors, tracks and reports pursuit and project progress
  • Assists with the identification of required planning, environmental, and engineering resource requirements, internal and external
  • Other duties:
    • Mentoring and Training
    • Outreach and support for freight, supply chain, seaport, rail terminal, waterborne commerce efforts by Moffatt & Nichol
  • Engage in quality assurance
  • Participate on committees for policy and regulatory development within the industry
  • Participate on committees for research and educational program development within the industry
  • Remain up to date with new advancements in the field of environmental planning

  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
