Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in transportation management, especially in non-asset-based operations.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations including DOT and OSHA standards.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple competing priorities effectively.
• Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities for managing diverse teams and carrier relationships.
• Analytical skills to interpret data and drive decision-making based on performance metrics.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transportation strategies that align with company objectives.
• Oversee daily transport department operations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Manage third-party logistics (3PL) provider relationships and ensure service level agreements are upheld.
• Schedule and plan carrier routes and ensure timely delivery coordination.
• Conduct vendor audits and promote a culture of safety by ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates and fuel efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records related to transportation operations and vendor compliance.
