Position Overview

The Transportation Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end (E2E) transportation execution while driving network transportation performance and continuous improvement for Nestle Premium Waters. This role combines operational leadership, carrier and vendor management, performance analytics, and strategic planning to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective, and customer-focused transportation operations. The Transportation Manager partners closely with cross-functional supply chain teams and maintains strong carrier relationships to deliver reliable network performance and future-ready transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Execution & Operational Excellence
• Oversee day-to-day end-to-end transportation execution to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods across the network.
• Establish, monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service, cost, carrier performance, and customer experience.
• Ensure seamless execution across transportation modes, systems, and processes.

Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of transportation professionals.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence.
• Support change adoption and capability building within the team.

Carrier & Vendor Management
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with transportation service providers and carriers.
• Conduct regular carrier performance reviews and implement corrective action or improvement plans as needed.
• Partner with carriers to identify innovation, efficiency, and service improvement opportunities.

Network Performance & Analytics
• Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure accurate and timely performance reporting.

Continuous Improvement & Change Management
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation performance, cost, service, and reliability.
• Lead change management initiatives related to process, system, or network changes, ensuring effective adoption and sustained results.

Strategic Planning & Collaboration
• Develop and support transportation strategies aligned with broader supply chain and business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain, warehouse, customer service, and other cross-functional partners.
• Maintain a customer-centric mindset, proactively resolving transportation-related issues.

Compliance & Industry Awareness
• Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting transportation operations.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of transportation or supply chain experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of transportation execution, carrier management, and TMS platforms.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Professional certifications (CSCP, CLTD) preferred.

The approximate pay range for this position is $111,725 to $162,750. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
