Summary of Work NDDOT Starting Salary: $7,967 / month Summary of Work Construction Project Reviews and Consultant Oversight
- Conduct field and record reviews of construction projects administered by NDDOT, consultants, and local agencies to ensure compliance with contracts, policies, regulations, and industry standards. Reviews could include materials certifications, Pay Quantity Entries (PQE), sampling and testing frequencies, pay estimates, labor compliance, consultant estimates, CARS documentation, and other required project records.
Design
- Develop preventive maintenance project plans using MicroStation/ OpenRoads under the direction of an engineer.
- Complete design work in accordance with the NDDOT Design and CADD Manuals.
Contracts
- Administer and oversee construction and service contracts to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract requirements, policies, and regulations.
Technical Support, Training, and Administrative Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and manage project documentation, tracking systems, databases, and construction records.
- Provide technical expertise by reviewing plans, specifications, and procedures for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with department standards.
- Support construction management systems through data entry, reporting, quality control, and final records administration.
Employee Supervision and Staff Development
- Supervise and direct construction personnel to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, department policies, and project objectives.
Minimum Qualifications Requires bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, and six years of work experience performing field engineering; OR
An Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, and twelve years of work experience performing field engineering.
Work experience must include large project oversight and management of staff and budgets.
