The Transition Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the transition process, risk management, and performance tracking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing transition plans that outline the goals, scope, and timelines of the project.
- Assist with In-Country transition activities to ensure activities are completed in preparation for the Period of Performance.
- Assist in coordinating with different teams and departments to ensure all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates.
- Identifying potential risks and issues that could affect the transition and developing strategies to mitigate them
- Overseeing the implementation of the transition plan, ensuring all activities are carried out as planned.
- Tracking the performance of the transition, analyzing data and producing reports to demonstrate progress.
- Ensuring all documentation related to the transition is accurately maintained and updated.
- Conducting post-transition reviews to identify areas of improvement for future projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Transition Manager or similar role in project management.
- Fifteen (15) years of related experience
- Certification in Project Management, PMP preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Secret Clearance Required. Please NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain / maintain Secret Security Clearance.
