Key Responsibilities Business Process Transformation – Lead cross-functional finance transformation efforts in partnership with Accounting, FP&A, MTO/ATV program teams, and other stakeholders to design, refine, and operationalize finance processes that support the Medical-Surgical separation and related RemainCo transformation initiatives. Shape future-state ways of working, including governance, approvals, reporting cadence, and process controls, while setting direction for simplification, standardization, automation, and AI-enabled workflow improvements. Cost Management (Analysis, Reporting, and Insights) – Establish financial governance, visibility, and accountability for separation-related and transformation-related costs, including TSA, one-time, stranded, and other program costs. Support and help coordinate the forecasting, tracking, reporting, and variance analysis processes; develop executive-ready insights and recommendations; and translate complex financial data into clear narratives that support MTO/ATV leadership, McKesson and MMS executive stakeholders, and program governance forums. Leverage AI, automation, Power BI, advanced Excel, and other analytics tools to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and speed of insight.
Strategic Initiatives and Executive Support – Drive high-priority strategic finance initiatives and ad hoc deliverables that support successful execution of the separation and RemainCo transformation agenda. Lead special analyses, scenario modeling, issue resolution, and executive-level materials to inform decisions, assess trade-offs, support value realization, and address emerging program priorities.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Coordination – Act as a trusted finance advisor and integrator across cross-functional stakeholders (FP&A, Accounting, Legal, IT, HR, MTO/ATV program, and others business stakeholders from both McKesson and the Medical-Surgical business) to align priorities, clarify ownership, and drive execution of critical separation and transformation deliverables.
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- Education/Training – Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Business Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or accounting, ideally within McKesson or a similar large, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional teams on large-scale transformation, separation, or carve-out initiatives.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial forecasting
- Experience in senior executive / CFO / EOT / Board-level deliverables and communications development preferred.
- Proven ability to coordinate with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.
- Demonstrated success in executing complex programs within and across McKesson is valued as highly as tenure.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
- Strong deliverables and detail-oriented execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple work products and competing priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- High proficiency with finance tools and systems commonly used at McKesson, such as SAP, JDE, Oracle, Hyperion, and advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is a plus.
- Ability to build trust across functions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive results through others, and escalating when needed.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
Working Conditions
Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) –Traditional office environment with remote working flexibility. Some travel required for executive engagements, workshops, and other program activities as needed.
Physical Requirements
Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required. Occasional travel and extended hours during critical program phases.
