Job Requirements

The Transformation Coach serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement across the organization by leading Lean transformation initiatives, coaching multidisciplinary teams, and driving operational excellence. This role partners with leaders and frontline staff to identify opportunities for improvement, facilitate process redesign, and implement sustainable solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and the overall patient experience.

The Transformation Coach provides guidance in Lean, Six Sigma, change management, and project management methodologies while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with our core values of Diversity, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, and Discovery.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in performance improvement and process redesign initiatives.
  • Facilitate Lean Rapid Improvement Workshops (RPIWs), Value Stream Mapping, A3 problem solving, and IMPRV initiatives.
  • Coach leaders and staff in Lean leadership principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and change management practices.
  • Partner with operational leaders to define, scope, prioritize, and execute improvement projects aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop current and future state process maps using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, process mapping, and other performance improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve workflows.
  • Create standard work, performance metrics, and benchmarking tools to sustain improvements.
  • Facilitate training programs on Lean principles, project management, innovation, team engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor project outcomes and provide ongoing coaching to ensure sustainable results.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership and operational teams.
  • Serve as an internal consultant supporting departmental and system-wide transformation initiatives.


Work Experience

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Lean or Toyota Production System training preferred (or willingness to obtain within the first year).
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience facilitating process improvement initiatives or serving as a change agent.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of hands-on experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading organizational process improvement events.
  • Experience delivering training and coaching on continuous improvement concepts.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Minitab.
  • Experience creating process maps using Microsoft Visio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership and frontline staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively manage change.

Pay Range: $38.67 - $58.05
