As a result of continued growth, Cherry Bekaert's Transaction Tax Services practice is seeking a Senior Manager to join our remote, nationally-distributed team focused on tax due diligence and structuring for private equity (PE) sponsors, family offices and strategic acquirers across the middle market. In this high-impact leadership role, you will guide complex merger, acquisition, restructuring and strategic transaction engagements within our Advisory service line. As a Transaction Tax Senior Manager, you will:- Lead complex transaction tax engagements, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and other significant corporate transactions
- Advise clients on transaction tax implications, planning opportunities and strategies that support successful business outcomes
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives that help optimize client results across complex transactions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by building strong relationships and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver comprehensive tax solutions
- Lead, coach and mentor tax professionals, supporting their development and strengthening the practice's future leadership bench
- Monitor and communicate changes in tax legislation and explain how those changes may impact clients and transaction planning
- Support practice growth by identifying business development opportunities and contributing to proposal efforts
What you bring to the role:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; advanced degree and/or professional credential such as MST, LLM, JD or CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in transaction tax, public accounting or a related tax advisory environment, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of transaction tax laws, regulations and planning considerations
- Experience managing complex, high-stakes client engagements and multiple priorities at the same time
- Strong analytical, decision-making and project management skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Advanced communication skills, including the ability to advise clients, collaborate with stakeholders and support proposal activity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax software applications

Pay Range: $159,200 - $254,600
