Job Description:

Oversee complex programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers as a Training and Development Manager. Here, you'll see the bigger picture on mission initiatives and where your career can go at GDIT.

In this role, a typical day may include:

Training Manager:
  • Lead development, delivery, and sustainment of all training products supporting the AN/SQQ-89 A(V)15 Surface ASW Combat System.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, fleet commands, In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), and OEMs to identify training needs and align curriculum with system upgrades, baselines, and modernization schedules.
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of Training Support Packages (TSPs), including instructor guides, student guides, lab materials, and integrated learning tools.
  • Manage training pipeline planning and delivery across shore-based schools, fleet concentration areas, and onboard ship training evolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Navy training standards, including NAVEDTRA requirements, TSRA processes, and associated ILS documentation.
  • Supervise a team of instructors, curriculum developers, and SMEs to ensure consistent, high-quality training outcomes.
  • Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback loops, fleet performance indicators, and alignment with system readiness objectives.
  • Support development and integration of simulation tools, virtual/augmented training environments, and blended-learning solutions.
  • Maintain training configuration control to ensure courseware accuracy with evolving technical documentation, system changes, and engineering updates.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports, metrics, and briefings to program leadership and government customers.
  • Coordinate training logistics including schedules, resource allocation, classroom utilization, and student tracking.


Requirements:
  • Possess and maintain an active DoW Secret clearance which will be required by the contractor in the performance of their work to enter classified spaces, review data and access networks
  • Master's degree w/ 5 years of direct Navy Training & Development experience, or Bachelor's degree w/ 9 years direct Navy Training & Development experience. Or 15 years of direct Navy Training & Development experience
  • US citizenship required


The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
