Chenega Professional Services' company, is looking for a
raining Clinical Nurse to support the Education and Training Branch within the Division of Medicine by providing instructional, administrative, and training support for infectious disease and public health education programs. The position serves as a training subject matter expert supporting technology-based and resident-based medical education programs delivered to CONUS and OCONUS organizations. The incumbent assists with curriculum development, training material preparation, educational technology initiatives, staff coordination, healthcare training activities, and support of new educational projects while providing expertise in infectious disease healthcare management and medical education.
Responsibilities- Participate in USAMRIID's training programs as a training Subject Matter Expert to support resident and on-line programs provided to CONUS & OCONUS organizations as directed.
- Shall, in collaboration with the DoM Chief of Training and Education, assist with the preparation and revision of training materials as required. Contractor shall provide all prepared materials and proposed revisions to Division leadership for review.
- Shall, in collaboration with the DoM Chief of Training and Education, assist with the research of supplementary training methods, materials, and simulations as directed.
- Participate in the development of necessary medical training projects.
- Participate in meetings and presentations related to assigned duties and/or work performed as directed.
- Provide training to staff and co-workers in planned medical training programs as requested by Division leadership.
- Provide administrative and logistics support for conduct of meetings and conferences as required by Division leadership.
- Perform duties and responsibilities based on specific guidelines and objectives provided by the Division leadership.
- Support new projects initiated by the DoM within the Education and Training Branch mission as directed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications- Active nursing license within the United States.
- Experience consistent with a Trainer IV labor category supporting complex training, curriculum development, instructional delivery, and educational program support.
- Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience combining clinical nursing care, healthcare informatics, healthcare management, staff education, EMR systems, and infectious disease knowledge.
- Experience supporting training and educational programs within healthcare, public health, military, or related environments.
- Experience preparing instructional materials, educational resources, and training content.
- Experience supporting classroom, virtual, or technology-based learning programs.
- Experience coordinating training activities, instructional events, or educational projects.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS in support of organizational requirements.
- Possess and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a SECRET security clearance.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Registered Professional Nurse credentials.
- Experience providing training, education, guidance, and technical expertise within interdisciplinary or multi-service healthcare environments.
- Extensive clinical experience supporting preventive medicine, public health, infectious disease, or biodefense-related healthcare activities.
- Experience supporting military medical education programs.
- Experience developing technology-based training or distance-learning programs.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Experience supporting curriculum development and instructional design initiatives.
- Experience delivering adult education and professional healthcare training programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of infectious disease management, public health principles, and healthcare education methodologies.
- Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, curriculum development, and training program delivery.
