Andrews Center as a Vocational Rehabilitation Instructor, Technical and Occupationally to help students build confidence and real-world skills. This role gives you the opportunity to teach hands-on lessons that prepare students for success in the food service industry. You will guide students through both classroom learning and kitchen practice to support their growth. Be part of a team that helps students reach their goals and move toward independent futures.
DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position teaches culinary coursework and guides students in hands-on food service activities in classroom, lab, and kitchen environments. It also supports advising, program development, and skills practice that strengthen student learning. As a Vocational Rehabilitation Instructor, Technical and Occupationally, you will perform the following duties:
- Culinary Instruction: Teach culinary arts subjects and provide classroom and competency based instruction using varied teaching methods
- Hands-On Training: Lead students in food preparation, vending operations, and Courtyard Cafe activities to reinforce practical skills
- Student Advising: Prepare schedules, review progress, and guide students through academic and training needs
- Lab Supervision: Oversee training in kitchens, labs, dining rooms, and practicum areas to support safe and effective learning
- Program Support: Assist with adapting equipment, improving instructional methods, and contributing to program development
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate grades, attendance records, progress reports, and required documentation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Three years of practical work experience in subject area taught.
