Full Job Description

As a Trading Senior Consultant at Murex, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support and services to our clients within your area of expertise, adhering to Murex's high standards. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring client satisfaction and success through effective communication, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement in various projects.

What you’ll do​:

As a Trading Senior Consultant, you will specialize in the Murex solution for front office activities across both sell-side and buy-side clients. Your will be exposed to different asset classes including Fixed Income and Credit derivative. The focus will be on understanding and supporting trading activities like pricing, risk analysis and other operations required by the trading and investment desks.

You will need to understand client business needs, communicate internally, get feedback on possible solutions, test and deliver to client and follow up with them until deployment. This work method will be applied on the following list of task:

  • Client Support:Provide expert support to clients by addressing and resolving open cases promptly. Ensure a seamless follow-up process to maintain strong client relationships.

  • Project Contribution:Actively participate in all phases of company projects, including upgrades, migrations, and implementations. Engage in client workshops as a dedicated stream member, ensuring that solutions meet client needs.

  • Product Evolution:Manage the correction of defects and drive product enhancements within internal product evolution streams. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Murex’s offerings.

  • Training & Development:Conduct training sessions for both internal teams and clients, sharing your knowledge and expertise to empower others.

  • On-Site Assistance:Provide on-site support to clients as needed, with the flexibility to travel internationally.

  • Team Collaboration:Offer internal assistance to senior team members when required, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Who you are:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant field, a degree in Financial engineering or Quantitative Finance is preferred.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in trading, finance, or capital markets is preferred.

  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of multiple asset classes, with a strong focus on bonds, security finance and loans preferred.

  • Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming logic and best practices, including basic knowledge of programming languages and database management (e.g., SQL).

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English being essential.

  • Client orientation: Genuine interest in client-facing responsibilities and relationship building.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for roles at Murex varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Murex provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Toronto, as set forth below 

Salary Range: CAD 115,000 to CAD 125,000
