Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Engineering preferred.
• Ability to pass the PJM Certified Generation Dispatcher Exam within 9 months of hire.
• 2+ years in the energy sector; 5 years preferred for senior role.
• Familiar with emergency response procedures and alternative work sites.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic analytical skills for pricing and risk assessment.
• Experience with power markets like PJM, MISO, and others preferred.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mitigate risk for asset owners.
• Capture market opportunities through real-time analysis.
• Conduct real-time trading and scheduling of energy purchases and sales.
• Build relationships with market participants.
• Communicate market information to managers and traders.
• Maintain regulatory requirements with FERC, including weekend shifts.
• Collect and manipulate large datasets in Excel and present findings accurately.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple deliverables effectively.
• Assist in training and supporting other traders.
