About the role

The Trade Marketing Manager will have a leadership role in trade strategy development and implementation for Reckitt Brands. As part of this, they play a critical role driving growth strategies for key retailers across company's most profitable segment. Incumbent will lead efforts in connecting the key areas of market trend analysis, mining key customer/category insights, brand and retailer strategy, and new product introduction all leading to the design of a go to market 4P strategy that is executed by sales teams delivering category and brand growth. This leader will coordinate cross-functional teamwork that is imperative for the delivery of LSM targets.

Your responsibilities

  • Understand and drive development of consumer, category, and retailer insights through research. Use data gathered through this research/analysis to develop and connect retailer/brand/consumer intel into a 4Ps strategy for commercial implementation.
  • Develop/understand Local Category best practices and ensure transfer of knowledge to Sales for implementation.
  • Lead annual category 4Ps planning and review process by understanding business objectives and translating them into a channel 4Ps Local Success Model for Sales execution.
  • Train and manage staff (analyst and marketing managers) to both build 4Ps gap analysis and develop clear, specific plans and launch new products.
  • Champion new product market entry and execution. Includes managing the development of sales presentation/materials and managing tracking/analyzing the 4Ps in-market implementation.
  • Manage & decide investments of shopper marketing budget for the Channel
  • Continuous analysis of customer position, creation of "Go To Market" strategy and deployment / briefing to National Account Managers to implement.
  • Conducts intensive Financial Modelling to support decision process e.g. Ranging, Promotion.
  • Develops 'Go To Market" strategies for all category reviews with major retailers
  • Lead innovation deck and line review deck creation with the National Account Manager and present out to ensure best in class results

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-10 years Direct Sales and/or Marketing experience, cross-functional exposure to other Business Operations (supply, finance, etc)
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the levers of managing a P&L
  • Excellent understanding of 4P's go to market strategies
  • Good understanding of Customer Management Process
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel Data, A&Us)
  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, Nielsen/IRI)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Proven leadership and ability to train/manage staff.

US salary ranges

USD $143,000.00 - $215,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
