Job DescriptionBased in our Houston location, you will serve as the primary resource for day-to-day activities associated with import/export compliance for US locations of Actuation Technologies.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Coordinate import and export activities, including audits, compliance, and recordkeeping.
- Support the assignment and maintenance of HTSUS and ECCN classifications and classify new and existing products as needed.
- Serve as the site subject matter expert and liaison for import/export compliance issues, including coordination with compliance users, gatekeepers, and Shared Services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain import/export policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide trade compliance training and stay current on applicable laws, regulations, industry requirements, and regulatory updates.
- Monitor and maintain proper customs valuation, including payments, assists, and other additions to the price paid or payable.
- Support export licensing requirements, including license applications and deemed export license applications, and work with IT to ensure systems support compliance requirements.
- Partner with functional teams on country-of-origin classification and marking requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:- B.S. degree in Business, technical field, law or equivalent work experience
- 5 years related experience, including minimum of 3 years of import/export compliance accountability in industry or government position
- Import: CFR 15 knowledge, understanding of USHTS classification, Customs and Border Protection forms and responses, Transportation In Bond, import entry packets, Importer Self Filing, PSAs, ADD/CVD, Broker communication, valuation, country of origin and marking, record keeping
- Export: CFR 19 knowledge, understanding of ECCN classification, Shipper's Letter of Instruction, Electronic Export Information, Embargos, Sanctions, Boycott, Freight Forwarder / carrier communication, transaction and restricted party screening, record keeping
- Ability to coordinate the implementation and adoption of all import/export/supply chain security policies in all facilities within scope
- Ability to create, review and adhere to internal Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
