You and Your Job

As a Trade & Commodity Finance Summer Intern Analyst, you will work with Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to support new business origination and the management of existing client relationships across agriculture, metals and minerals, and energy. You will help prepare pitches, sector analyses, credit materials, and portfolio reviews while learning how Trade & Commodity Finance products serve clients across global commodity markets.

Working alongside Relationship Management, Credit, Middle Office, Operations, and Trade Services, you will contribute to client and industry research, financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. Through customer meetings and hands-on assignments, you will strengthen your analytical, communication, and collaboration skills while gaining exposure to a global business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts with prospect identification, client pitches, and follow-up presentations.
  • Research commodity industries and assess market trends to support client coverage and business development.
  • Assist with credit analysis, financial modeling, cash flow projections, and the structuring of credit products.
  • Help prepare credit reviews, portfolio reviews, covenant checks, and recurring client information assessments.
  • Participate in client meetings and support ongoing portfolio monitoring, including the identification of potential early warning signals.

Internship Overview:

Rabobank's internship program is designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Rabobank and collegiate students. While employed as a summer intern, students will have the opportunity to prove their ability to learn and demonstrate key skills that will make them successful at Rabobank. To aid in this endeavor, students will be matched with a mentor and provided the necessary professional development opportunities to achieve their goals. The internship will be a full time 40hr a week position, 10-week, paid program.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour

This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank's compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
