The Naval Power Finance Organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst (P2) to drive process improvements, strengthen financial modeling discipline, and provide analytical leadership for Tomahawk Direct Investment (DI) within the Multi-Year Procurement (MYP) environment. This role plays a key part in enabling informed financial decisions across Tomahawk capacity, acceleration, and rate-readiness initiatives, including test equipment modernization, supplier throughput increases, capital investments, and obsolescence redesign.

The position partners closely with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to enhance forecasting processes, improve cost-model accuracy, and ensure disciplined execution of DI-related financial strategies across the Tomahawk portfolio.

What You Will Do
  • Lead improvements to monthly cost and schedule variance analysis processes by developing clearer financial models and trend-tracking tools for Tomahawk DI and capacity acceleration efforts.
  • Support and refine Quarterly EAC development through cross-functional coordination, assumption validation, and structured input management.
  • Build and enhance financial models assessing DI impacts related to test equipment upgrades, supplier rate-readiness investments, capital planning, and obsolescence redesign activities.
  • Improve monthly variance analysis by evolving the framework used to interpret budget, forecast, and EAC performance.
  • Strengthen monthly LRE and quarterly EAC cycles through disciplined financial tools, improved inputs, and streamlined workflow improvements.
  • Prepare proposal and customer-reporting financial materials that clearly capture DI cost and investment elements supporting MYP alignment.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis across multiple Tomahawk contracts, highlighting DI-related cost drivers, schedule impacts, and performance trends.
  • Complete monthly cost CDRLs and financial deliverables while improving process efficiency and data reliability.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly leadership reporting with increased focus on DI transparency and actionable financial insights.
  • Update financial charts and materials for Program Management Reviews with an emphasis on DI and MYP-related cost drivers and performance indicators.
  • Process approved Budget Change Requests (BCRs), ensuring consistent integration into forecasting systems and improved internal controls.
  • Manage key aspects of the monthly forecast cycle, incorporating DI considerations into RPLAN updates, data validation, and financial consolidation steps.
  • Support FP&A cadence activities by improving consolidation accuracy, reporting quality, and operational financial processes.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting, data analysis, forecasting, or process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, and charts.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with APEX, PRISM, Analysis for Office, SAP, or SAP Business Warehouse.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVMS) and willingness to pursue certification.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
