Full Job Description
What you'll do:
  • Own, design, model and deliver a novel thermal system for our Hybrid aircrafts thermal design
  • Select the right technology, materials and for a very complex and novel thermal system
  • Design it so it's light, performatively and cost effective
  • Prove that the system is as good as you think it is - through test definition
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver the complete system
  • Manage design lifecycle, including interfacing with manufacturing and test teams
  • Attend and present your designs to stakeholders
  • Interface with supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and stress / FEA engineers

What you'll need:
  • BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
  • 5+ years experience in mechanical design
  • Strong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding complex system design
  • Experience with stress and finite element analysis
  • Experience with Siemens NX and suite of tools
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Extremely self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and documents.
  • Proficiency in PDM and PLM environments

Nice to have:
  • Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, turbegenerators, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
  • Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification
  • Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods

Actual compensation offered will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
