A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Thermal Spray Manufacturing Engineer, you will partner closely with coating operators, technicians, and production teams to support the daily execution of thermal spray coating processes for gas turbine combustion components. Your day will involve developing and optimizing coating parameters, troubleshooting equipment and robotic systems, participating in shop floor Gemba meetings, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also lead advanced manufacturing technology projects, ensure process documentation is accurate and effective, and support quality assurance activities to maintain world-class coating performance and production standards.
How You'll Make an Impact
Develop, implement, and optimize thermal spray coating processes, including Atmospheric Plasma Spray (APS) and High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) applications for combustion components.
Create, modify, and troubleshoot robotic programs using ABB or Fanuc controls, including offline programming to support production and development activities.
Provide hands-on technical support to coating operators and production teams by resolving process, equipment, and quality challenges on the shop floor.
Lead continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing initiatives focused on process capability, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
Design, adapt, and procure tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for thermal spray manufacturing operations.
Develop technical work instructions, conduct training, and ensure coating processes are effectively communicated and sustained throughout manufacturing operations.
What You Bring
