Responsibilities

  • Review FAT procedures and discuss customer-specific test requirements with the project engineer
  • Identify necessary testing tools and ensure capacity meets customer commitments
  • Stage BN Systems on the factory floor in preparation for testing and conduct inspections
  • Power up cabinets, utilize signal simulators, and download rack configurations as per FAT procedures
  • Inspect spare materials against packing lists and report shortages to supply chain
  • Support customers during FAT activities with inspections and BOM verifications
  • Manage defect tracker tool and maintain punch logs, communicating status to project team
  • Control Master IFC drawings during testing and ensure all updates are communicated to relevant teams
  • Utilize CPS reports to monitor Pre-FAT/FAT milestones in SAP
  • Promote a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Ensure timely and quality-focused fulfillment of all customer commitments
  • Identify process and operations excellence opportunities through standardization and automation

Full Job Description

As a Test Engineer, you will be conducting product Testing during Pre-FAT and FAT schedule. Confirming the functionality of the design and products in alignment to the customers approved designs.

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing FAT procedures and discuss customer special test requirements with Project engineer, responsible to create Customer FAT test Plan.
  • Identifying tools required for testing and ensure sufficient testing capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments.
  • Staging BN Systems on Factory floor in preparation to Testing and Perform Cabinet Inspection against set of requirements established by Baker Hughes Procedure vs drawing.
  • Powering up cabinet and Use BN Signal Simulators, MSS. Download rack configuration and Test Systems as per FAT procedure and simulate all required signals as requested by the PE.
  • Inspecting the spare materials as per packing list provided by logistics team and report shortages to planner & supply chain team on timely manner.
  • Supporting customer during FAT activity on Cabinet inspection and BOM verification as required by FAT procedure. Fill in FAT report and Log test results on the FAT configuration sheet.
  • Owning defect tracker tool & Create / Verify Punch log and Communicate punch status to Project team. Follow up till they are closed.
  • Controlling Master IFC drawing during testing as per QMS procedures and ensure all drawing Mark-UP’s are completed and communicated to Project Engineer & Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Utilizing CPS report & monitor / Close Pre-FAT / FAT Milestone Activity completion in SAP.
  • Fostering a thriving culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality-focused, & compliant manner.
  • Identifying opportunities to drive process and operations excellence via standardization, simplification, and automation.

  • Have electrical or mechanical engineering degree.
  • Have 5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and testing
  • Have Bently Nevada background.
  • Have vibration monitoring systems Testing experience (preferred)
  • Have ability to coordinate several projects concurrently.
