Testing & Qualification Lead - Advanced Space Hardware Employment Type: Full-time Department: Space Solar The Role The team is focused on advancing high-performance, cost-effective space power systems that support both commercial space applications and future off-world operations. This is a pragmatic, hands-on role requiring strong technical judgment, deep familiarity with qualification standards, and the ability to balance reliability, cost, and schedule considerations. Responsibilities Own internal processes for qualification and acceptance of flight hardware Maintain environmental test plans and reference mission sets aligned with industry-standard space qualification frameworks and customer requirements Coordinate execution of environmental testing activities internally and through external laboratories (e.g., thermal vacuum, vibration, thermal cycling, radiation, etc.) Drive risk assessments, including FMEA/FMECA-style analyses and fault tree investigations where appropriate Support failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, quality engineering, or test engineering for high-reliability hardware (space, aerospace, defense, or similar industries preferred) Experience developing and executing environmental qualification and acceptance test programs Strong judgment regarding test sufficiency and risk-based tradeoffs between cost, schedule, and reliability Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary plus equity participation Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off
