Test Procedure Development Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)
Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking an Test Procedure Development Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
As a Test Procedure Development Engineer, you'll be architecting, creating, and maintaining test procedures for state-of-the-art satellite systems for commercial and/or national security programs. These tests will evaluate the functionality and performance of each subsystem on the spacecraft to ensure customer requirements are met. You will be working closely with System Engineering, unit REAs, Special Test Equipment (STE) team, and manufacturing team to deliver high quality products for the test operations team. You may occasionally need to support system test operations on the factory floor to troubleshoot and assist in test execution.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop story board that defines test procedure architecture and methodology
- Develop test procedure documentation based on released test requirements and story board
- Develop associating test scripts to automate test execution
- Validate test scripts against simulator, emulator, test bed, and/or test equipment
- Support the development of phase procedures for test phase execution
- Process recurring test procedure updates via change process
- Support test operation in the lab as required, which include but not limited to: execute tests, troubleshooting, evaluate test data, and archive test data and reports
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 1+ years of experience in the use of electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, vector network Analyzer and oscilloscope
- Experience with programming in C, C#, C++, Python and Visual Basic languages
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience with space-based applications for mechanical, electrical, RF, and/or digital subsystems
- 5+ years of experience in the use of electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, vector network Analyzer and oscilloscope
- 3+ years of experience in Tcl/Tk programming language
- Experience in Tcl/Tk programming language
- 3+ years of experience with space-based applications for mechanical, electrical, RF, and/or digital subsystems

Summary pay range:
Level 2: $90,950-$123,050
Level 3: $111,350-150,650
