About the roleWe are seeking a Test Lead with specialized FNZ Wealth Management experience to drive test strategy, planning, and execution for core platform upgrades and migrations. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing strategies, manage platform releases and vendor integrations, and ensure the reliability of core wealth management workflows from account opening to settlement.
In this role, you will- Own test strategy, planning, and estimation for FNZ platform releases, configuration changes, and upgrade cycles.
- Design end-to-end coverage across account opening, transfers (cash and in-specie), model portfolios and rebalancing, trading and settlement, corporate actions, income, valuations, fees, and client reporting.
- Lead a squad of 3-8 QA analysts across functional, integration, regression, and UAT phases, including offshore and vendor test teams.
- Review and extend automation (Playwright) and integrate test gates into CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Test APIs and integrations with custodians, market data, payments, CRM, and document management using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Act as QA point of contact with FNZ - track vendor defects, release notes, and config changes, and assess their impact on in-flight delivery.
- Build and maintain the regression pack for upgrades, and decide what gets automated versus what stays manual.
- Write strong SQL for reconciliations, migration and conversion testing, feed validation, and report output checks.
- Run UAT with operations, adviser support, and front office - scripts, sessions, and sign-off.
- Own defect triage and quality reporting to program and steering level, with a clear view of coverage, risk, and release readiness.
- Keep test evidence audit-ready for internal audit, risk, and regulatory review (Consumer Duty, CASS, MiFID II, or local equivalents).
- Bring demonstrable hands-on FNZ experience - at least one full implementation, migration, or major upgrade - plus solid wealth platform operations knowledge and Jira/Xray or ALM tooling.

What you need to have to be considered- Overall 10+ years of QA experience with strong background in end-to-end test planning, regression pack management, defect triage, and executive quality reporting.
- Demonstrable hands-on FNZ Wealth Management platform experience including at least one full implementation, migration, or major upgrade, coupled with solid wealth platform operations knowledge.
- Good API testing (Postman, Rest Assured) and test automation frameworks (Playwright).
- Strong capabilities in SQL querying.
- Experience integrating automated test gates into CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Proficient with Test management tools like Jira/Xray or HP ALM.

Total compensation We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 80,000 - 110,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
