Role description
Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering, understanding of propulsion systems, CFR Emission Testing Requirements and proficiency with data acquisition tools (Panel 4, ETAS or Hioki) and modeling platforms.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Powertrain Testing - Lab Operations function; the person in this role will support the Powertrain Testing department's objective to ensure testing readiness.
Job Requirements:
• Test Execution: engine, powertrain, or vehicle chassis dynamometers and emission analyzers.
• Compliance Validation: Verify test results against Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and certification procedures (such as FTP, HWFE, and US06).
• Data Analysis: Analyze emission outputs, particulate matter (PM), and fuel economy data to optimize engine performance.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment or vehicle anomalies in controlled test cells and environmental chambers
• Support on site teams to ensure facilities are supporting current and new R&D activities.

• Provide Engineering Support for Powertrain Testing Operations
• Oversee and resolve problems associated with R&D testing equipment.
• Support daily operations and problem solve those issues and develop countermeasures
Key Must Have's:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of propulsion systems, CFR Emission Testing Requirements,
• Software/Tools: Proficiency with data acquisition tools (Panel 4, ETAS or Hioki) and modeling platforms
What you may bring:
• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical prints
