Job Title: Controls Integration Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Position Overview:
Controls Integration Engineer will be responsible for translating system specifications and objectives of the Controls and SW platform solution for Transmissions into functional controls features embedded in the software. With a focus on supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), vehicle testing, and addressing GIMs (Global Issues Management), this role offers a unique opportunity to influence the performance of cutting-edge propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the integration of controls features into embedded software, ensuring seamless functionality within the vehicle's propulsion system.
• Implement control requirements and features based on system specifications, translating performance objectives into precise control functions.
• Monitor the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, validation of control functions in a simulated environment before deployment to the vehicle.
• Monitor the validation of control functions to meet and exceed specified requirements, contributing to the overall success of the vehicle development cycle.
• Engage in Issue Management System (GIMs, IMS) coordination, tracking, and resolution, working closely with cross-functional teams to address control-related challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and testing teams, to ensure successful controls integration.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience (1 year in automotive)
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Solid Background as Controls/SW developer using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded C, testing or calibration engineer.
• Strong understanding of vehicle propulsion systems and control strategies.
• Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
• Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency in supporting HIL testing and vehicle testing for controls validation.
• Experience with Issue Management System (IMS, GIMs) tracking and resolution processes.
