Full Job Description
Position Overview:
As our Test Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and timely execution of test and assembly operations. This role provides technical leadership, drives operational performance, and partners across multiple functions to meet program and departmental objectives.

On-site in Euclid, Ohio

Your Day to Day as a Test Engineering Manager:
  • Lead and develop a team of Test Engineers, establishing work priorities, staffing plans, schedules, and technical direction.
  • Own team performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people goals, adjusting resources as needed to meet organizational commitments.
  • Maintain a safe work environment through proactive safety engagement, required training, and compliance with all applicable safety standards.
  • Oversee the creation, review, approval, and maintenance of assembly, test, and calibration procedures and related quality documentation.
  • Provide technical oversight of test equipment, tooling, fixtures, and hardware design, qualification, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
  • Ensure Assembly and Test readiness by maintaining critical equipment uptime, eliminating constraints, and coordinating timely technical support.
  • Lead or support investigations and resolution of test incidents, safety events, nonconformances, corrective actions, and audit findings.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Program Management, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues and meet program objectives.
  • Manage departmental labor, budgets, forecasts, and cost-improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
  • Build workforce capability through technician training, performance management, coaching, succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible engineering experience supporting precision assembly, test operations, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a lead engineering role with responsibility for directing technical work, priorities, and problem resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering test concepts, methods, equipment, instrumentation, calibration, tooling, procedures, and applicable safety and quality requirements; working knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Proven ability to manage professional employees, adapt departmental plans, allocate resources, solve technical and operational problems, and consistently meet quality, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence employees, customers, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance, as required.

Pay: $99,410 - $157,000

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,410 and $157,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
