As a Test Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing complex test plans and procedures for various aerospace and defense systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate and verify product requirements, ensuring high-quality performance and compliance.
Our testing approach evolves with the design maturity, extending from initial stages through to post-production follow-ups on subsequent articles.
The role involves extensive system testing, aimed at assessing a broad spectrum of mission equipment such as communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems, to ensure they meet design and functionality standards.
Please note, this role does not require any knowledge or skills related to software or automation testing.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures for complex systems.
- Conduct system, sub-system, and component-level testing, including functional, performance, and environmental tests.
- Analyze test data and provide comprehensive reports on test results.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and facilitate resolution of issues and anomalies.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to refine test requirements and methodologies.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Generate content and participate in internal/external meetings and briefs.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficient understanding of test and evaluation principles and methodologies.
- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
- Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
- Current Active US Secret Security Clearance required
Qualifications We Prefer:- Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing.
- Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements.
- Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances.
- Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD).
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
Essential Functions:- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Occasional travel may be required, possible CONUS & OCONUS travel.
- Ability to work in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
