Job Description

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for verification and validation of a variety of embedded products, including test planning, test design, test execution, reporting, and supporting continuous improvement of our test processes.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, modify, review, and optimize test plans, test fixtures, and test procedures; execute hardware tests.
  • Identify, analyze, and manage issues; develop troubleshooting strategies and validate design fixes.
  • Set up test fixtures and tools; design new tools, test equipment, and data-analysis utilities to support product development.
  • Investigate issues and defects, perform root-cause analysis, and manage findings using defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Provide analytical support to design engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to resolve product issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including test reports and test-equipment records.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Test-engineering experience with electromechanical and electronic products.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies such as STLC, TMM, TDD, MBT, system testing, manual/automated testing, and test-estimation techniques.
  • Experience with reliability and test-related methodologies (e.g., Design for Reliability, Design for Test, ALT, HALT, HASS).
  • Experience designing electrical circuits for test equipment or product prototypes.
  • Knowledge of common communication interfaces and protocols (e.g., RS-232, FTP, TCP/IP, RedLINK™, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave).

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, product data sheets, software algorithms, and specifications.
  • Ability to design mechanical components for test fixtures or equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with data-acquisition systems and test automation tools such as LabVIEW.
  • Strong skills in writing test procedures, reports, and using test-tracking systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams, including leadership of small teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is $92,900- 116,200K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
