Summary of job contents

The mission of this position is to ensure the reliability and performance of electric actuators through comprehensive testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This involves defining test strategies, executing detailed test plans, and analyzing results to support product development from prototype to production while adhering to relevant standards.

Key accountabilities
  • Collaborate with the test manager and test analyst to define test strategy, test plans, schedules, and technical details.
  • Qualify electric actuators in cooperation with HQ in Germany.
  • Provide testing support to the design department from prototype development to series production.
  • Create and execute test plans, ensuring compliance with relevant standards for qualification and release.
  • Plan, prepare, and set up tests for execution at internal facilities or external labs, including manual and automated test benches.
  • Conduct product-specific testing to assess service life, reliability, and performance under various conditions (climatic, endurance, vibration, IP degree of protection).
  • Maintain and perform periodic measurements on endurance test actuators, ensuring proper functioning and reliability.
  • Evaluate and analyze test results, document findings, and prepare detailed test reports in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and management of test facilities and equipment.
  • Support the product complaint procedure with damage investigation and analysis.
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary, international, and agile team, executing test sequences defined by test cases in an ALM system.
  • Independently evaluate and assess test results, documenting and preparing the necessary verification documents.
  • Comprehensive Testing: Conduct diverse testing for electric actuators, tackling challenges in performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work with international teams using agile methodologies to improve testing processes and respond swiftly to product development needs.
  • Process Enhancement: Analyze data and test results to identify opportunities for system improvements, fostering innovation in testing technologies to boost product quality and efficiency.
  • Regular Collaboration with Internal Teams: Engage frequently with cross-functional teams, including design, test management, and engineering, to align on testing strategies and share insights, requiring strong communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate with external labs and suppliers to plan and execute testing activities, necessitating clear communication to ensure alignment on technical requirements and timelines.
  • Interact with the headquarters in Germany for qualification processes and technical guidance, necessitating the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively across cultural and linguistic barriers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by motivating and guiding interdisciplinary teams, ensuring that all members are aligned on testing objectives and contributing to their professional growth through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
  • Take a proactive leadership role in overseeing testing projects, facilitating team responsibilities, and driving accountability, while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.


Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification preferred.
  • 3+ years of practical experience in setting up complex test systems, both manual and automated.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical drive technology and testing of mechatronic systems.
  • Knowledge of test and measurement technology, particularly in the assessment of automated systems.
  • Experience in environmental testing and familiarity with food industry standards is an advantage.
  • Basic programming knowledge for test automation systems is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with good written and spoken English; basic knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in common office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Willingness to spend several weeks in Germany during the onboarding process.
  • Structured and abstract thinking, along with independence and the ability to work effectively in a team
