Sr. System Certification/TPE ENGINEER (Team Lead)

Clearance: TS/SCI

Location: Building 1470, Peterson Space Force Base, CO.

Periodic travel required.

Position Summary: Senior technical engineer supporting system certification and Technical Performance Evaluation activities while serving as the designated Task Order Team Lead for day-to-day administration, coordination, and Government correspondence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review development and operational test plans/procedures, Test Objective Worksheets, requirements documents, deficiency reports, scenarios, and simulations for impacts to system integrity and certification.
  • Support test preparation and test-related meetings; evaluate proposed test methods, scenarios, simulations, data-reduction requirements, and data-recording requirements.
  • Support certification test execution, data collection, quality control, analysis, and identification of technical deficiencies or integrity issues.
  • Support certification technical activities, including design/test reviews, certification status tracking, technical reports, meeting documentation, and certification database maintenance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Technical Performance Evaluations (TPEs); develop procedures, TOWs, exercise support requests, and data-collection checklists.
  • Analyze end-to-end technical performance; document and score problem reports; prepare evaluation reports, findings, recommendations, briefings, and lessons learned.
  • Travel as required to support testing, technical meetings, evaluations, and other mission activities.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact to the COR for general task-order administration and correspondence.
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate activities across the task-order requirements and address daily management of overall contract support.
  • Determine core work times in coordination with mission needs and provide the required Weekly Activity Report covering work performed, level of effort, recommendations, and weekly highlights.


Mandatory Qualifications - solicitation minimums

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated relevant experience with covered systems identified by the PWS.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated relevant experience in testing, analyzing, planning, operations, analytical studies, or systems development related to military space programs, simulations, and systems.
  • Relevant experience with one or more covered systems: ITW/AA Situation Monitoring; Theater Event System (TES); Missile Defense systems that are also ITW/AA; COBRA DANE; Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC); NC3 systems such as FSAM, Nuclear Planning and Execution System, or Secure Messaging and Routing Terminal Next Generation; and/or space surveillance/control and space-warning systems.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • TS security clearance with eligibility for SCI access; must have TS/SCI access when required to perform work at specified classified facilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior technical/team leadership on DoD or USSTRATCOM engineering, test, evaluation, certification, or A&AS efforts.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and interfacing directly with Government CORs, technical leads, and test organizations.
  • Strong technical writing, briefing, scheduling, and status-reporting skills.
