OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Director, Retail Store Operations, the Territory Manager is responsible for leading and managing a territory of company-controlled convenience stores, gasoline facilities, and select dealer outlets in a defined market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform regular store visits to monitor the implementation and execution of strategic plans, including marketing, merchandising and adherence to operational, ethical and safety standards to improve performance.
- Provide coaching and motivation with retail agents to drive site sales and profitability while ensuring alignment with established execution standards.
- Leverage internal and external tools and resources to maintain high standards of store safety, cleanliness, and customer readiness.
- Review and communicate sales and financial performance data to track the success of each retail location, identify growth opportunities within local markets, and ensure retail agents remain on track to achieve the approved annual plan.
- Work cross-functionally with Category Management, Finance, and Construction to ensure operational changes, policies, and process improvements are effectively communicated, executed, and sustained at the store level
- Support and coach Store Operators to use tools to report maintenance needs.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:- Post-secondary education in business, or applicable experience.
- Previous multi location retail and merchandising experience in a management role.
- Proven experience with annual business planning and execution
- Ability to effectively multi-task, stay organized and complete projects with short deadlines in a busy, fast-paced environment.
OTHER:- Able to communicate effectively in both official languages, both verbal and written, is an asset.
- Must be willing to spend significant time driving from location to location within own territory. Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
